Applications for Grants
To achieve its mission, the Brian Mason Trust allocates in the order of $100 000 to around 30 projects each year. The Trust meets twice each year, in May and November, and applications are due 31 March and 30 September each year.
Projects cover a wide range of subjects and activities, including creation of interactive exhibits and experiences, research projects on New Zealand’s flora, fauna, landscape and geology. The Trust does not support medical projects or salaries for employed staff. The Trust strongly encourages dissemination of information from projects to the general public.
